Mjölnir Mead Co is two friends, making mead the old way.
It started in a home barn: a few carboys, good honey, and a lot of patience. Batch by batch, evening by evening, the recipes got better, and people at medieval and Viking festivals started coming back to our stall asking for more.
Today we make four meads: God's Nectar, our traditional honey mead; Elderflower; Norse Blood, our mixed berry mead; and Spiced. All are still and 15% ABV. The same hands that forge steel help shape everything from our branding to our kit. Every drop of honey we use is sourced locally.
Our aim is to bring history back to the table: we research historical mead recipes and recreate them for a modern palate, keeping the spirit of the originals while making them clean, balanced and easy to enjoy today.
